My daughters have been dancing with Dance Divas for three years now. They have learned and overcome so much! It's an amazing group of girls from the youngest to the oldest. The coach is wonderful with them all! The parents are dedicated and we're all just one big dance family! - Natalie Alderete

Owner & Coach
Stephanie Montoya
Stephanie Montoya began her life-long love for dance at age two when she began her dance training at Alwin’s School of the Dance. She was trained in classical ballet, The Cecchetti method, and Jazz. During high school she was a member of the Albuquerque High Bulldoggies state champions. Upon graduation, she earned her degree from NMSU in Sociology, and was a member of the student run dance company, Dancer’s Unlimited. In 2018, she was selected as a member of the Gladiator’s Professional Dance team. Currently, she is a member of Rosa: Latin Dance Performing Group.
Stephanie began teaching Jazz and Ballet in the schools for a recreational program in 2012 for three years before she opened up her own studio, The Dance Divas Performing Group. “The Divas” specialize in Latin, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Ballet, and Pom, and have become a staple at events like local church fiestas, The NM State Fair, and Lovelace's Day of Dance.
Her emphasis is on building strong technical dancers, while helping kids spark a passion for dance and have fun. In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling, and cooking.
“You don’t stop dancing because you grow old, you grow old because you stop dancing.”
